Black Friday is an informal name for the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. The day after Thanksgiving is the beginning of Christmas shopping season in America.

It's a time to shop for gifts at the best prices.  You may be asking yourself but "what about this year," 2020 certainly has been a year of uncertainty.  In shopping on "Black Friday" we can turn our attention to the internet for shopping.  If you've never been on line looking for Christmas gifts, there will be many sites that will have just what you are looking for.  On line stores will tell you about their "Black Friday" specials with information on when sales begin.  Look for sale prices with free shipping, a savings in itself when ordering on line.  You may have to peruse the internet in search of what you looking for but it will be worth your time, bringing you a sense of great pleasure AND  you never had to leave the house.

If you should choose to leave your home.  Research ahead by calling the store, making certain they have the item you are looking for.  This will make it easier to shop.  Upon arrival "wear your mask" remember the importance of social distancing while in the store. Find and purchase your item and leave, use sanitizer when you get into your car.  I carry sanitizer in my car with wipes, at all times!  It pays to be safe and cautious during this holiday season time.

We can still carry the spirit of Christmas with us remembering how blessed we are to have family and friends in our every day lives.   Remember the reason for the season.
